Agnieszka Radwanska carries Polish flag at the Olympics

New world No 2 player Agnieszka Radwanska was asked to carry Poland's flag at the London 2012 Olympic Games opening ceremony. Aga made it to the Ladies singles final at Wimbledon, and was defeated by Serena Williams. On Monday, she became 2-ranked player for the first time, ahead of Maria Sharapova, former world No 1.
Radwanska is in Palermo, Italy, playing in the Italiacom Open (red clay). She posted on Facebook a photo (above) of her celebrating the good news with some ice-creams. "Couldn't be happier! Can't wait to be back in London! Greetings from Palermo!", she wrote on her page.

Other tennis players, such as Novak Djokovic, Sharapova and Rafa Nadal, will also be flag-bearers for their countries at the Olympics.
